The BWT Group in fiscal 2007 consolidated sales of EUR 397.5 million achieved, exceeding the previous year (EUR 362 million) by 9.8%. Each about a fifth of group sales growth was generated by the point-of-use and the service and spare parts business, 60% (EUR 20.6 million) came from the point-of-entry business, the core business of BWT.
With an increase of 7.9% to 35.2 million EUR, the EBIT increase RECOURSE slightly behind the sales growth, reflecting higher raw material prices and changes in product mix. The improved financial result and a favorable income tax rate resulted in a net profit after minorities of EUR 26.4 million, higher by 19.1% compared to 2006, which the objectives have been exceeded for the fiscal year 2007.
Group equity as at 31.12.2007 amounts to 129.6 million EUR (previous year: EUR 109.2 million), the equity ratio has improved from 42.6% to 45.2%. The net debt of the BWT Group has in 2007 increased from EUR 24.7 million to EUR 26.5 million, caused by the higher capital was gearing (net debt / equity ratio) but from 22.6% to 20.4 % improved.
The investments were increased by 40% to EUR 15.1 million. The most important investment projects of 2007 included the establishment and expansion of production capacities for the point-of-use business. The number of employees has increased by 7% to 2354.
